Daniel J. Siegel

Dan Siegel is considered an expert on the use of technology in the practice of law. A practicing attorney since 1984, Dan understands the practice of law and the business of law. Sensing the need for a firm to address the technology needs of attorneys, Dan opened Integrated Technology Services, LLC, which focuses exclusively upon ways for lawyers and legal support staff to handle cases more efficiently. Through Integrated Technology Services, LLC, Dan has worked with numerous law firms to make them more efficient, more productive and more profitable using technology.

Dan Siegel is a nationally-known writer and lecturer about technology in law offices and in litigation. He authors the Technology column in The Philadelphia Lawyer, quarterly magazine of the Philadelphia Bar Association; he also authors the Technology column in Trial Magazine, the official publication of the American Association for Justice (formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA)).

Dan Siegel serves in many technology-related positions. He is Co-Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association Law Practice Management Division; in addition, Dan co-chairs the Association's Practice Technology Committee. He is also a member of the E-filing Committee of the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County. Dan is also a Certified Independent Consultant (CIC) for Lexis-Nexis Time Matters, a certified Trainer for LiveNote, and is certified to support and train CaseMap, TimeMap and Legal Files and numerous other legal software applications.

A 1984 graduate of Temple University School of Law, Dan Siegel received his bachelor's degree from Franklin and Marshall College (with honors) in 1981, and practices law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Dan has served in many positions in the legal community. For example, Dan was the year 2000 Co-Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Workers' Compensation Committee. Dan Siegel writes, lectures and is a course planner (on a wide range of matters, from civil litigation to writing for attorneys to workers' compensation to ethics to personal injury matters) for many organizations, including the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations, and the American, Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Associations. His column, "Recent Appellate Decisions," has appeared since 1988 years in The Verdict, the monthly publication of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. He also serves on many Bar Association committees, including the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Committee on Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility and the Philadelphia Bar Association's Professional Guidance Committee.

Dan Siegel is also actively involved in many community activities. He is legal counsel to and a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Ichtyhyosis and Related Skin Types , a national non-profit organization that works with individuals and families who suffer from this rare genetic skin disorder. He is past-president of Pennsylvanians Against Handgun Violence and a former member of the Board of Trustees of Handgun Control, Inc.
